Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has assured residents of Sikaman-Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region of government's support following concerns of neglect after their involvement in the aftermath of the recent helicopter crash.

Residents had earlier expressed disappointment, claiming they had been left out despite playing a critical role in carrying the remains of the eight victims from the crash site to the community, before the bodies were later transported to Accra.

Addressing the concerns, Dr Amoakohene appealed for calm, stressing that steps are being taken to recognise and support the community members who assisted in the rescue efforts. "We have not been ourselves for the past two weeks, and in the process of the funeral and all that, definitely you will not have the peace to even think of yourself or what issues may be happening. "We are picking the database of all the youth who helped us with the incident of the plane crash.

We are going to reach out to them.
