Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso says the ongoing 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament is a preparatory ground for their upcoming 2025-26 CAF Champions League campaign.
The Miners kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 win over Asante Kotoko on Wednesday at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The Bibiani-based club will now face Hearts of Oak in the second match tonight at the same venue. "All the three games are tough games [and] I think we like it that way because it will help us in our Africa campaign, we need those quality games," Manso said ahead of the game. "It's just a preparation for teams going to Africa, and the others are also using it to prepare their teams for the upcoming season, so it's not like a challenge at all," he added.
Meanwhile, Bibiani GoldStars will face Algeria's JS Kabylie in the preliminary round of the competition.
