The Asantehene, , has announced that the burial service of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, will be held from September 14 to 18, 2025.
According to Otumfuo Kyeame Baffour Kantankrankyi, spokesperson for the Asantehene, a nighttime curfew has been imposed to facilitate the burial rites.
The announcement marks a significant step in the mourning process for the Ashanti Kingdom, which has been paying its respects to the late queen mother since her passing on August 7, 2025.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III reigned as Asantehemaa for eight years, earning widespread respect for her wisdom, humility, and commitment to preserving Ashanti customs and traditions.
