Ghanaian defender Wahab Ackwei has chalked a new milestone in the United States following his latest appearance in the USL.  The former Inter Allies player reached 100 matches in the second-tier of soccer in the United States after featuring for El Paso Locomotive in the 2-2 draw against Monterrey Bay FC.

During that period, Ackwei has scored seven goals and delivered five assists.

Ackwei, a former Ghana youth international moved to the United States in 2018 to join New York Red Bulls, but featured for the second team, playing in the USL.

He later played for Richmond Kickers, Loudon United Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, Colorado Springs Switchbacks and now El Paso Locomotive.
