Former Black Stars midfielder, Derek Boateng, has met one of his favourite musicians and the son of reggae legend Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley.  Boateng, who is currently in the United States, scouting for San Diego FC's youth teams, met the Grammy award winner during one of his sessions in San Diego.

The ex-footballer shared the moment with his over two-hundred followers on social media, expressing how happy he is to meet Ziggy Marley. "Look who i ran into today on the scouting field, the son of the legend Ziggy Marley and I know you think you have to be perfect to keep the people you love around you, that's not true, we learn from our mistakes and we don't judge people by their flaws, we just love people for who they are, but it's up to you to trust people with the real you," he posted on Instagram.

Ziggy Marley is the eldest son of Bob and Rita Marley, and has won eight Grammy Awards, making him one of the most successful reggae artists of his generation.

Meanwhile, Boateng has been nurturing his skill as a scout and a youth team coach with the famous Right to Dream Academy in Academy in Ghana, who are also part owners of San Diego.
