King Faisal's controversial owner, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah, has criticised Asante Kotoko, accusing the club of lacking seriousness after abstaining from last week's vote on the Ghana Football Association's presidential term limit at the 31st Ordinary Congress in Prampram. "Kotoko is not a serious club at all.
A big club like Kotoko cannot fail to cast its vote in a major decision such as the amendment of the GFA's statutes," Grusah said.
He further questioned the club's preparedness for continental competition, pointing out that their venue for the CAF Confederation Cup is yet to be confirmed.
Out of 124 eligible delegates, 114 voted in favour of extending the GFA presidency from two terms (eight years) to three terms (12 years), with six voting against and three abstaining, including Kotoko.
