A young Ghanaian graduate from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has opened up about the harsh reality of life after school.

Two years after completing his degree, he is now working as a construction labourer because he has been unable to secure a white-collar job. "I'm also a graduate, two years now.

But you see, when you come out, there is nothing like 'my certificate or your degree or first class student.' It is about: 'What can you do?'" he said in a candid Instagram video.

He warned final-year students and those about to graduate not to place all their hopes in promises of jobs after National Service. "So I'm pleading with those of you who are about to graduate, have it at the back of your mind.
