The Adele Traditional Council in the Oti Region has held a ceremonial libation to honour the victims of the recent helicopter crash and to pray for the prevention of such tragedies in the future.
In a heartfelt statement, Nana Amanfo Monfankye of Dadiase expressed profound shock and sorrow upon learning of the tragedy involving the Ghana Armed Forces' Z9 helicopter, which was en route to Obuasi.
This tragic incident resulted in the untimely deaths of eight courageous individuals who were serving their country.
The Council described the event as having "plunged the country into total darkness and national mourning", paying tribute to the fallen ministers, government officials, and service personnel, whose voices will now remain silent forever.
