GFA President Kurt Okraku says the association's latest partnership with MTN Ghana will give the country's national teams the best preparations for major tournaments.
The telecommunications giant has signed a two-year, $2 million deal with the GFA to become the headline sponsor of four male and female national sides.
The agreement, announced on Thursday at MTN Ghana's Head Office in Accra, covers the Black Stars, the Black Queens, the Black Satellites (U20), and the Black Starlets (U17).
It represents a major shift from the 2022 World Cup arrangement, which was also worth $2 million but focused solely on the Black Stars. "This investment by MTN would ensure that these young boys, Black Queens, and Satellites would have the best of preparations that would put them in the competitive mood for the big championships," Okraku stated after signing the documents alongside MTN Ghana CEO Stephen Blewett.
