Former Minister of Defence, , has stated that he is still in shock over the sudden death of his successor, Dr Edward Omane Boamah.
According to him, he never imagined delivering a tribute to someone who took over from him at the Ministry of Defence. "I am still in shock, I knew Dr Omane Boamah in 2000 when he contested my cousin for a parliamentary seat.
They were the leading contenders, and my cousin lost to him.
We have been friends since then, though not many people know that side of us. "I never thought for once that I will be giving tribute to somebody who I handed the baton to; I'm still in shock," he recounted in a Joy News interview on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
