The Member of Parliament for Atiwa East, Abena Osei Asare, has recounted her long-standing friendship with the late Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, describing him as a very compassionate person and a dedicated family man.

In a recent interview with TV, she reflected on their friendship and his selfless nature, which endeared many to him. "We go way back, we've been friends, for a very long time and he was also a very dedicated family man.

I've known his family for a very long time.

I know he takes care of a thousand and one people.
