Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has declared "a new dawn is with us" as the GFA sealed a landmark broadcast partnership with Adesa Productions Limited (APL) to transform the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Speaking at the 31st Ordinary Congress on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Okraku said the deal, backed by the government, will combine world-class television production with unprecedented financial rewards for clubs. "Our GPL will see a big boost as a result of a carefully modelled strategy… This partnership will not only bring in top-level TV production of our league but also good financial resources to our clubs, who have sacrificed a lot," he stated.

Each of the 18 GPL clubs will receive a minimum of GHS1 million per season, the highest payout in the league's history.

The agreement also covers extensive promotion and marketing, alongside synchronised professional radio commentary for GPL, Division One League and selected Women's Premier League matches.
