The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots football with major progress in its Elite Academy project, a flagship initiative combining football training with formal education to nurture young talent.
Speaking at the 31st Ordinary Congress in Prampram, GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku said the programme is steadily building a structured, nationwide pipeline for future stars.
The Bolgatanga Academy in the Northern Belt remains the flagship, boasting the only fully integrated male and female programme.
It now hosts its second cohort of 22 boys and 12 girls, alongside 27 boys and 15 girls from the first batch currently in SHS 2.
