The Circuit Court 11 in Accra, presided over by Basilia Adjei-Tawiah, has remanded the Gyaasehene of Gomoa Fete, Nana Kofi Baah I, and another person into police custody for allegedly stealing a KIA Forte valued at GH¢200,000.
According to a report by gbcghanaonline.com on August 11, the two suspects, together with a third person who is on the run, are alleged to have rented the vehicle for two days from car dealer Hazel Yamoah Kyei and later disposed of it.
The accused, Nana Abeka Anderson, 37, and Nana Kofi Baah I, are also being investigated for a similar offence and are currently in custody at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters in Accra.
Prosecutors said Anderson contacted the complainant on March 10, to rent the car and provided photocopies of a Ghana Card and driver's licence in the name of one "Essel Kofi Elvis" but bearing his photograph.
