A self-proclaimed mobile money fraudster has come forward, claiming that he has been tormented by spiritual "beatings" since swindling a businesswoman out of GH¢15,000.
According to him, "spiritually, a young boy comes to whip me every night when I sleep and the marks are there on my back." The scammer, who spoke on Sompa FM in Kumasi, revealed that he had monitored the businesswoman's mobile money transactions and pretended to be her business partner who was supposed to receive money from her.
He explained, "I monitored the businesswoman who was supposed to send the money to one of her business partners.
After I became aware that the woman had loaded the money into her wallet account, I quickly placed a call to her and pretended that I was the one she intended to transfer the money to." He successfully deceived her into transferring the funds.
