A stateman, economist and an elder of the (NPP), Kwame Pianim, has stated that many elders of the opposition NPP are unhappy with the current direction of the party.
Sharing his thoughts on the party's decision to elect a flagbearer first before the grassroot elections on TV3 on August 11, 2025, he said that he does not agree to the approach.
In his estimation, the leadership needs to urgently stop and listen to the advice of their elders before advancing forward in most of their operations. "I do not agree with it (election of flagbearer ahead of other grassroot elections).
