The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has announced free psychological and counseling services for individuals in the region affected by the recent helicopter crash at Adanse Akrofuom.
Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, said the initiative is being rolled out in collaboration with the Ashanti Regional Health Directorate and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
The fatal crash, which claimed eight lives, including two ministers, senior government officials, and Ghana Air Force officers, has left many residents shaken. "Health experts will be available to provide psychological support to anyone who needs it," Dr Amoakohene stated on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
He explained that the move is aimed at helping residents manage the emotional impact of the tragedy and regain peace of mind as the nation mourns together.
