Ghanaian architect and academic, Professor John Owusu Addo, has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom in recognition of his outstanding contributions to architecture and education in Ghana.

Now 97, Professor Owusu Addo is celebrated as one of Ghana's most influential architects.

His works include key developments on the campus of the University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he played a pivotal role in shaping the institution's architectural identity.

The University of Westminster conferred the honorary degree as a tribute to his decades-long commitment to architectural excellence, nation-building, and mentorship in the built environment.
