The Government of the Republic of Liberia, through its Embassy in Accra, expresses profound condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Ghana following the tragic helicopter crash of Wednesday, 6 August 2025, which claimed the lives of several senior government officials and military personnel.

The Embassy mourns the loss of the Honourable Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence; the Honourable Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation; Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator; and five other dedicated public servants, whose service to the nation embodied integrity, commitment, and a shared vision for Ghana's development.

Their untimely passing is not only a national loss for Ghana but a loss for the West African region.

The Government and people of Liberia stand in full solidarity with the Republic of Ghana during this difficult period of national mourning.
