Addressing the nation in a live televised statement, President Mahama revealed that he had a personal connection with those who lost their lives, particularly highlighting the dedication and commitment of the naval officers who were on board the ill-fated aircraft. "This is a heartbreaking moment.

The pain is personal, as I knew several of them closely.
