The (NPP) has expressed sorrow over the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight individuals on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, describing the incident as a "devastating blow" to the nation.
In a statement signed by the party's General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the NPP conveyed its condolences to the bereaved families, urging the nation to unite in prayer and support during this challenging period. "Their passing is not only a devastating blow to their families but also a profound loss to the entire nation they worked to protect and build," the statement read.
The NPP called on the government and relevant authorities to initiate a thorough, transparent, and swift investigation into the cause of the crash.
According to the party, such an inquiry is necessary not only to honour the lives lost but also to prevent similar tragedies in the future. "The dignity of the lives lost demands answers and accountability to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again. "Let us stand with the families left behind.
