Following the overwhelming success of last season's CAF Champions League, which saw a significant rise in television viewership, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will stage the preliminary draw in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for the first time ever.
The draw will take place on Saturday, 09 August, at 13h00 local time (10h00 GMT) and will be streamed live on CAF's YouTube channel as well as via its broadcast partners.
Azam Media, CAF's strategic partner in East Africa, will host the draw at its studios, continuing the trend of staging official draws in broadcast environments â as previously done with SuperSport and beIN Sports.
East Africa has recorded notable growth in cumulative viewership for both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, prompting the move to Tanzania's capital.
