Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Tema Branch, has presented hospital equipment to the Tema Manhean Polyclinic in support of the construction of a hundred bed ultramodern community clinic.The equipment valued at about GH¢150, 000.00 included; hospital beds, mattresses, industrial wall fans, patient monitors, vital signs monitor machine, hand-held pulse oximeters and air conditioning units.Presenting the items here last Wednesday, the Second In-Command of Custom Division, Philip Timbila, said the gesture formed part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)."As part of our CSR, we select public institutions within the environment where we operate in and support them with things they lack for them to give out their best services to the community members," he said.Mr Timbila said it was important that as a nation, we ensured that the citizens received the best health care at any point in time."Health being a primary need in nations' development, it is imperative for the Authority to ensure the welfare of everyone in community in which we as Authority operates," he stressed.Receiving the items, the Medical Superintendent of the Tema Manhean Polyclinic, Dr Joseph Donkor, commended Customs for the support.He said it was their hope that the hospital project, which was initiated by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in 2022 would be completed soon.According to the Medical Superintendent, the early completion of the hospital project would go a long way to enhance the operations of the clinic in terms health care delivery.Dr Donkor pledged the clinic's commitment to see to the judicious use of the items and also called on other institutions and individuals to come to their aid.
