The Bono East Regional Chairman of the (NPP), Ibrahim Baba Bukari, has raised concerns over what he describes as suspicious circumstances surrounding the shooting to death of his brother, Seidu Bukari, during a nighttime police operation in Techiman.
Ibrahim Baba Bukari has strongly refuted the police's version of events, accusing them of fabricating the robbery narrative as a cover-up for what he describes as a reckless, unprofessional, and inhumane operation that resulted in the tragic and untimely death of his brother.
According to him, the police's claim that his brother was involved in a robbery is entirely false and was deliberately concocted to justify their excessive use of force during the incident, which took place at his private residence in Techiman. "This so-called robbery story is nothing but a desperate attempt to shield themselves from accountability.
