CAF has rolled out a revised set of inspection protocols under its newly formed Infrastructure Department, aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in the stadium approval process for CAF and FIFA competitions.

Under the new system, Member Associations planning to use a non-approved stadium must first submit a ‘pre-inspection' through their National Club Licensing Manager (CLM) using CAF's CLOP platform.

CAF will then decide whether a full-scale on-site inspection is necessary.

If required, a CAF-appointed independent team of infrastructure, turf, and safety experts will visit the facility, with the requesting association covering all travel and logistical costs.
