The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has emerged as the overall winner of the 2025 Civil Service Games, and Deputy Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa couldn't be prouder. "With pride and pleasure, I hosted a celebratory and awards reception for Team Ministry of Foreign Affairs after our staff emerged overall winners at the 2025 Civil Service Games," he announced in a post on Facebook and sighted by MyNewsGh, reflecting on the ministry's sweeping success.

Team MFA captured the spotlight by clinching top positions in nearly every category, including football, tennis, arm wrestling, and table tennis.

They also took home individual accolades such as Most Valuable Player, Best Female Goalkeeper, Golden Boot, and Best Coach. "We virtually swept all the trophies," Ablakwa noted enthusiastically, commending the team's outstanding performance and unwavering commitment.

He praised the staff not only for their athletic dominance but for showing the world that diplomats can excel beyond the negotiation table. "It's remarkable to have confirmation that besides diplomatic expertise, Ghana's career diplomats have multiple talents, incredible versatility, amazing agility and infectious team spirit," he wrote.
