Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku says he feels completely free of pain for the first time in months after battling through a long-term knee injury.

The 21-year-old Leicester City forward marked his return with a brilliant solo goal in a pre-season victory over Fiorentina on Sunday, August 3, and says his recovery is not just physical—but deeply emotional. "Right now I'm feeling good," Issahaku told the club's media. "I've got more minutes and I still feel good—and no pain in my knee." The former Dreams FC star was making only his third appearance since returning from the injury that kept him sidelined for most of last season. "The goal was something I was waiting for because I've been out for so long," he added. "I'm so happy that I came back to King Power with a goal.

My comeback is personal because I've been through a lot." Issahaku featured in 11 matches last season before the injury derailed his campaign.

Now, fully fit, he's expected to play a key role as Leicester City push for an immediate return to the Premier League after their 2024/25 relegation.
