Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has assured the FA will continue to work to ensure the Black Queens win gold at the WAFCON.  Ghana, after making a return to the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) for the first time since 2018, won bronze after beating South Africa on a penalty shootout.

Speaking on GTV Sports Plus, Asante Twum, despite the shortfalls and lack of assistance, insists the FA will continue to work to ensure the Black Queens win gold for Ghana. "The GFA has taken care of Black Queens' coaches for the past three years, and this far, we have come, but we will continue to press to get gold for Ghana.

He also expressed belief in the team's chances of qualifying for the Women's World Cup in Brazil in 2027. "Fortunately, the slot for Africa has increased, so we are hoping to qualify for the next edition of the Women's World Cup in Brazil."
