New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ghana's Upper East Region has sanctioned 16 of its members from the Tempane and Pusiga constituencies over acts of gross misconduct and anti-party behaviour during and after the 2024 elections.
The affected members, including some key constituency executives, were found guilty by the Regional Disciplinary Committee following hearings in March 2025.
Their offenses ranged from financial misconduct and sabotage to openly campaigning against NPP candidates.
While five individuals were cleared of wrongdoing, the rest have been slapped with heavy sanctions, including removal from office and bans from holding party positions for up to five years.
