Political activist and commentator Oliver Barker-Vormawor has criticised the handling of the Unibank case.

According to him, it reflects a broader pattern of impunity among Ghana's elites.

Speaking on JoyNews' Newsfile on Saturday, August 2,2025, Barker-Vormawor said the trend where powerful individuals involved in financial scandals are not made to face consequences of thier actions is fast becoming a routine. "Unibank case: it seems we've grown accustomed to elites getting away with crimes.

I perceive lack of consequences for powerful individuals implicated in financial scandal", he said.
