Ghanaian media personality Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, has called out President and other politicians for politicising the ongoing conflict in Bawku.
According to Vim Lady, the Bawku conflict should never have been reduced to a political fight but instead addressed through collaborative, non-partisan efforts to restore peace.
She referenced a previous comment made by John Mahama, in which he claimed that the conflict in Bawku always intensifies under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government but calms down when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in power.
Vim Lady, however, criticised Mahama, stating that his own words have come back to haunt him, as violence in the area has worsened seven months into his current administration.
