John Mahama was speaking to the Central Regional House of Chiefs on Tuesday, July 30, afterwards introducing his active mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, back he fabricated the comments, as appear by myjoyonline.com.

John Mahama declared that it is not aural Admiral Akufo-Addo's ascendancy to actuate his successor, abacus that ability would be handed over to whoever the bodies of Ghana elects as president.
“Please acquaint [President Akufo-Addo], it is not in his aperture to actuate who he will duke over to.
“He should aloof affiance that back the elections are held, whoever wins, he will duke over, but you can’t say you won’t duke over to John Mahama if the bodies of Ghana say John Mahama is who they appetite and they accept me, you will accept to duke over to me," he said.
This follows contempo comments by the admiral that he cannot duke over ability to the above president.
Akufo-Addo, while acclamation the chiefs and bodies of Wa, adumbrated that his almsman would not be his predecessor, John Mahama, whom he had 'removed' from office.
“Before the acclamation is held, I am activity to appear actuality and pay my able goodbye to you and acknowledge you for the cooperation that I accustomed from you back I was president.
