The Ministry of the Interior has clarified that Monday, August 4, 2025, will be a regular working day, urging the public and institutions to take note and plan accordingly.

This clarification comes in light of recent legislative changes regarding Ghana's national commemorative calendar.

In June 2025, Parliament passed a bill reinstating September 21-Dr.

Kwame Nkrumah's birthday-as Founders' Day, a statutory public holiday celebrating Ghana's independence struggle.
