Ahead of the crucial by-election in Akwatia, New Patriotic Party (NPP) regional chairman Jeff Konadu has made a passionate appeal for peace, urging all political actors to reject violence and allow voters to make their choices freely. "Let's see what the people say," he remarked during an interview with MyNewsGh, stressing his commitment to peaceful campaigning. "I am not putting in place any such violent group to go and protect.

I am not doing that." Rather than rely on force or intimidation, Konadu said he would personally engage constituents across the area. "I will go to each and every home in this constituency to speak to people to come out in their numbers and vote for the New Patriotic Party," he noted.

Emphasising the need for fair and secure elections, he called on the police to step up. "I believe the police and I'm asking them to also provide the security.

I don't need anybody to come and be following me… because I have not done any harm to anybody," he said.
