The newly outdoored Adehyehemaa of the Lower Town Axim and Nsein Traditional Area, Nana Akaakye II, has pledged to prioritise education throughout her traditional area.
She emphasised a strong focus on girls and underprivileged children, promising bold efforts to expand access, improve infrastructure, and create opportunities for the youth.
Speaking during her outdooring ceremony at Nsein in the Western Region, Nana Akaakye II stated that education is the most powerful tool for unlocking the potential of communities and must be prioritised to drive development. "Our children deserve the opportunity to dream beyond their current circumstances," she said. "As queen mother, I will do everything within my power to ensure that no child-especially no girl-is left behind." She emphasised that true development cannot happen unless young people are equipped with knowledge and skills. "If we want to build a future of hope and prosperity, we must begin in the classroom-with books, with mentorship, with opportunity," she said.
The new royal queen mother also outlined other key areas of focus for her reign, including healthcare improvement, economic empowerment, and community development.
