Andrew Asiamah Amoako, has praised the Black Queens for their inspiring performance at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), describing them as "national heroines." The remarks were made during a courtesy visit by the team to Parliament on Tuesday, following their bronze medal finish in MoroccoâGhana's first WAFCON podium placement in nearly a decade.
Led by head coach Nora Häuptle (Kim) and captain Portia Boakye, the team was received with a standing ovation from Members of Parliament.
