Since the passing of Ghanaian highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, a wave of tributes and calls for a befitting honour have continued to pour in from industry players and Ghanaians at large.

Many believe the late musician, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, deserves more than just a burial-he deserves a national celebration befitting of his legacy.   One of the most vocal advocates is Nana Poku Ashis, manager of celebrated highlife artiste Kwabena Kwabena.

Speaking on Hitz FM's Daybreak Hitz with Kwame Dadzie, Ashis appealed to Charterhouse, organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, to spearhead the planning of a special event in memory of the 'Yentie Obiaa' hitmaker."The iconic Lumba needs a national celebration and I am urging Charterhouse to lead this campaign.

Try and put together an event where we will have our stars come and honour the legend," he said.
