Veteran journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, , has backed Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr 's recovery of 60% of the assets in the uniBank case.

Adding his voice to the matter - which has since sparked widespread public conversations and criticisms - Pratt, while speaking on Peace FM on July 29, 2025, argued that it is advantageous for the state to negotiate with the accused persons to recover a portion of the assets, rather than risk losing the case entirely and gaining nothing in return.

He referred to several cases where the state neither recovered assets nor pursued prosecution against the accused individuals.

Pratt stated that in the Beige Capital Bank case, if the Attorney General had accepted the offer made by the legal team of the accused, the state would have - if for nothing else - secured GH¢10 million.
