Former Deputy Attorney General Joseph Dindiok Kpemka has commended the New Patriotic Party's leadership for the decision to go for early primaries.
He explains that apart from other indicators that affected the party in the 2024 elections, the late presidential primaries also played a key role in the party's defeat.
To Kpenka, the party did not have enough time for reconciliation after the primaries ahead of the 2024 election.
However, an early primary will mean that the party will have enough time to reconcile and bring everyone on board for victory in the 2028 elections. "When there is a contest of ideas, you will hear all sorts of things, but after the elections, steps will be taken.
