Ghana's Minister in charge of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has charged corporate Ghana to move beyond symbolic praise and commit to sustained investment in women's sports.
Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, July 29, the Minister argued that the Black Queens' performance at the 2024 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) must inspire state institutions and the general public to do more for sports in the country. "Mr.
Speaker, the performance of the Black Queens must serve as a national rallying point.
This is the moment for state institutions, corporate Ghana and the general public to move beyond symbolic praise and commit to sustained investment in women's sports," Kofi Adams said.
