Black Queens striker Doris Boaduwaa has apologised to her fans after underwhelming performances at the 2024 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The 22-year-old was part of the Ghana squad that secured a third-place finish after edging South Africa 4-3 on penalties in the bronze medal match.

But despite high expectations, Boaduwaa failed to score throughout the tournament and came under criticism for her overall displays.

She had gone into the competition as one of Ghana's key players, having been named Female Footballer of the Year at the Ghana Football Awards and netting a hat-trick in a pre-tournament friendly against Malawi.
