The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has announced sumptuous rewards for the players and the technical team of the Super Falcons team that won the 2024 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
The Super Falcons came from two goals down on Saturday to defeat host nation Morocco 3-2 in the final of this year's WAFCON to claim the enviable title.
The triumph saw Nigeria winning the WAFCON for the tenth time, the most by any African country.
Impressed with the achievement of the team, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has bestowed the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger on the Super Falcons and the entire technical crew.
