The Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has announced a new set of security directives aimed at addressing the growing security concerns in parts of the region.
The directive, which takes immediate effect, follows an earlier set of measures introduced on July 24, 2025.
In a post shared on social media on Monday, July 28, by the Ashanti Regional Minister and Chairman of REGSEC, Dr Frank Amoakohene, said the decision follows a further review of the current security situation. "Following the initial security measures announced on July 24, 2025, REGSEC has further reviewed the situation and issues the following new directives with immediate effect," he stated.
