Elsie Appau-Klu, a technical advisor at the , has sued a media house, Surveillance Ghana; its editor, and publishers over a publication that accused her of "ruthless land grabbing." In the writ sighted by , Appau-Klu, through her lawyer, said that the said publication accused her of being a "face of corruption in her places," "bulldozing justice," and "abusing public office." She stated that the allegations made by the media house are defamatory and have caused her "reputational damage," "public ridicule and disgrace," "professional embarrassment," "emotional trauma," and "irreparable harm to her public image and career prospects." She has asked the High Court at Adenta to declare that the publication was defamatory and reckless in nature.

She is also asking the court for general damages of GH¢20 million and aggravated damages of GH¢10 million.
