OGC Nice have bolstered their defensive ranks with the signing of 21-year-old Ghanaian centre-back Kojo Peprah Oppong from Swedish top-tier club IFK Norrköping.

The deal, confirmed on Thursday, is a permanent transfer, although the club has not disclosed the fee or the length of his contract.

Oppong becomes the second defensive reinforcement of the summer following the arrival of Manchester City's Juma Bah on loan.

His signing is a timely addition for head coach Franck Haise, with the club facing key absences in central defence.
