The (NDC) in the Bono East Region has swiftly moved to mend relations with traditional authorities in Dromankese following a recent incident involving .

The issue gained media traction after it emerged that the NDC's flag-bearer, allegedly snubbed the chiefs during his visit to Dromankese in the Nkoranza North Constituency as part of his tour of the Bono East.

During a visit to the palace of Obrempong Danso Abeam II, the chief of Dromankese, the party representatives which included the Bono East Deputy Security Coordinator, Nana Baffoe Sarkodie, the queen mother of Ayima, Nana Saah Gyamfua, former MP for Techiman North, Isaac Kwadwo Adjei-Mensah and a host of other party dignitaries clarified that the incident was not intentional and apologized unreservedly to the chiefs.

Speaking after the meeting, Nana Baffoe Sarkodie who led the delegation emphasized the NDC's deep respect for the traditional authority as well as the party's commitment to working closely with local leaders to advance the development of their communities and so will not do anything to sever the relationship with traditional authorities. Unfortunately, there was a slight mishap as His Excellency was unable to pay a visit to Nananom who were waiting for him so his attention was drawn to it.

The chief of Dromakese, Obrempong Danso Abeam II, on his part, confirmed that the issue had been resolved and consequently all curses that were invoked by some angry sub-chiefs in the heat of the moment have been reversed.
