The High Court has adjourned proceedings in the case involving the suspected murder of 38-year-old Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, to August 8, 2025.

The decision was made during a court session held on Thursday, July 24, as police investigations continue and the key suspect remains in custody.   What initially appeared to be a case of kidnapping has since taken a darker turn and is now being treated as murder.

Due to the severity of the case and its legal complexity, the matter has been transferred from the Kwabenya Circuit Court to the High Court, which has broader jurisdiction over such offences.Stephen Amoah was first reported missing on July 3, 2025, after informing his wife that he was going to meet a friend who owed him GHS200,000 at Ashongman Estate.

Later that evening, his wife received a message from his phone claiming he had returned home safely with the money.
