The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed unwavering support for Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren following the team's narrow exit from the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ghana's hopes of reaching the final were dashed after a tense 4-2 penalty shootout loss to tournament hosts Morocco on Tuesday night.
Despite the defeat, GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum praised the Black Queens for their spirited return to the continental stage after a seven-year absence.
In a statement posted on social media, Asante Twum acknowledged the challenges faced but emphasized that the team's overall performance was commendable.
