Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has hailed the performance of the Black Queens against Morocco despite their semifinal defeat in the ongoing 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Despite taking the lead through Stella Nyamekye in the first half, the hosts equalised after recess through Sakina Ouzraoui to push the game into an additional 30 minutes.

However, Ghana lost 4-2 on penalty shootouts with Evelyn Badu and Comfort Yeboah missing their spotkicks in the process.

Despite failing to grab a spot in the final, Opoku-Agyemang, in a social media post, commended the players for their brave and spirited performance. "We are proud of our Black Queens!. You fought with heart, discipline, and pride.
