The Criminal Division of the High Court has adjourned the case involving the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mustapha Hamid, and nine others.

The case, which has drawn public interest, has been adjourned to 26th August 2025, when the hearing will begin after the first hearing on July 23, 2025.

All ten accused persons were present and entered pleas of not guilty to the charges brought against them, which include conspiracy to commit extortion, extortion, and money laundering.

Counsel for the accused applied for bail, which the prosecution did not oppose.
